Tips for Medical Jobs Interview
An Interview, in general, is a formal name for an exchange of information
and impressions. But the case of medical interview is of special importance,
as this field is directly connected with the healthcare and life. Therefore,
in these interviews, not only the outer appearances, body languages, behavioral-,
communicational-, or social skills, qualifications, competencies, time management
skills, etc. are appraised , but inner qualities like honesty, modesty,
benevolence, conscience, ethical morals and moral rectitude, commitment
for others, etc., are also scrupulously evaluated and appreciated. This
must be remembered that the medical and pharmaceutical fields are for serving
and saving the others, and also that a life is paramountly important and
invaluable. Some of the important key- tips are:-
1. Arrive just 10-15 minutes before
the scheduled interview time, not long before or after it. Don't dress too
casually, or wear too much perfume. Wear conservative business attire.
2. Stay relaxed, calm and cool. Think only about your skills, accomplishments,
and abilities. Avert fidgeting, leaning on the table/ chair, or weak handshake.
3. Turn cell phone off before the interview.
4. Know enough about the organization interviewing you beforehand.
5. Keep answers wisely and scrupulously concise and precise. Your body languages
or speeches should not show arrogance, rather than confidence.
6. Avoid talking negatively about past company/ manager/ employer.
7. You should have thorough knowledge about your subject, job, and responsibilities.
You must demonstrate your ability to do the job better than your competitors.
Employers are interested in what you can contribute to the organization.
8. Know beforehand your major contribution to the last job, and also the
preferences in your next job, along with your long and short-term goals.
9. Your body languages, thoughts, and deeds should confirm that you are
disciplined, honest, punctilious, urbane, and trustworthy.
10. You must behave modestly; have respect
and appreciation of others--- rather than being arrogant and overbearing.
